Definitions

Examples of Personal Data may include (without limitation):

1. full name;
2. Identification number (for example, identification card, passport or social security number);
3. date of birth;
4. correspondence address;
5. the type of Service and/or Product utilised;
6. banking and financial record; and
7. your personal details from Third Party Sites for e.g. Facebook.

“Selected Third Parties” refers to the third parties set out at section 4.5 below.

Information collection

From time to time, Abi-Tech may collect information and data about you, including information and data:

• that you provide or is provided to by any person authorised by you;
• in relation to each of your visit to our Platform; and
• from such other third parties authorised by you and publicly available sources.

Through you, Abi-Tech may also collect information and data about your family members, friends and other individuals (collectively “Relevant Individuals”).

Abi-Tech may collect the following information and data (including but not limited to):

1. Any information or data about you and/or such Relevant Individual(s) that can identify you or such Relevant Individual(s) – name, date of birth, passport/ID number, address, email, phone, financial information, photograph, transaction patterns, demographic data, etc.
2. Information generated or provided while accessing our Platform, such as usernames, search history, submissions, transaction records, participation records, and security verification answers.
3. Information generated in maintaining the relationship between us and you including account review reports and records of correspondence.

Information collected when you visit our Platform

We may collect technical and site-visit information, including IP address, login information, browser type/version, time zone, operating system, clickstream URLs (including date and time), pages viewed, page response times, download errors, visit lengths, page interaction (scrolls, clicks, mouse-overs), and cookie data. We may also collect information when you participate in Abi-Tech events (photographs, video, audio), or from other websites or Selected Third Parties where we have informed you and obtained consent.

Use and disclosure of personal information and data

Where necessary and appropriate, and in accordance with applicable laws, Personal Data may be used and disclosed by Abi-Tech and/or the Abi-Tech Group for the following purposes (Permitted Purposes):

1. Grant you access and facilitate the use of our Platform and present Site Content, Service and Product effectively for your device;
2. Provide the information, Site Content, Services and access to Third Party Sites and Content that you request;
3. Carry out obligations from any contracts between you and us;
4. Provide information about other Services or Products similar to those you purchased or enquired about;
5. Provide, or permit Selected Third Parties to provide, information about Services and Products that may interest you (subject to consent rules for new customers);
6. Notify you about changes to Site Content, Services or Products;
7. Administer our Platform and internal operations including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
8. Improve our Platform to present content effectively for your device;
9. Allow participation in Interactive Services;
10. Implement safety and security measures;
11. Measure effectiveness of advertising and deliver relevant advertising;
12. Make suggestions and recommendations to you based on usage;
13. Make decisions relating to account opening/continuation and conduct know-your-customer, anti-money laundering, credit and background checks;
14. Provide, operate, process and administer accounts, transactions and maintain service quality;
15. Provide product-related services and support and grant access to related materials;
16. Fulfil legal, regulatory and compliance requirements;
17. Verify identity/authority of representatives contacting Abi-Tech; and
18. Various other administrative, legal and management purposes described in the Policy.

We may combine information from multiple sources and use it for the purposes above. We may also share Personal Data with Selected Third Parties including business partners, suppliers, advertisers (aggregate, non-identifiable data to advertisers), analytics and search engine providers, prospective sellers/buyers in a business transfer, agents/contractors/service providers, members of the Abi-Tech Group where necessary, banks and financial institutions, and other persons required under legal obligations or for fraud prevention and compliance.

Administration and management of your Personal Data

We will take reasonable efforts to ensure your Personal Data is accurate and complete where it is likely to be used to make decisions that affect you, or disclosed to another organisation. You must update us of any changes to your Personal Data.

We will put in place reasonable security measures to protect your Personal Data from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, copying, modification, leakage, loss, damage and/or alteration. However, we cannot assume responsibility for unauthorised use attributable to factors beyond our control.

Personal Data will be destroyed or anonymized as soon as it is reasonable to assume (i) the purpose for which it was collected is no longer being served, and (ii) retention is no longer necessary for any legal or business purposes. Where Personal Data is transferred internationally, we will comply with applicable laws.

Right to refuse use of Personal Data for marketing purposes

You have the right to ask us not to process your Personal Data for marketing purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting the email address provided in Section 12 below or by marking relevant online forms.

Links to other sites

Our Platform may contain links to Third Party Sites (partners, advertisers, affiliates). If you follow a link, those sites may have their own privacy policies — we are not responsible for them. Check third-party policies before submitting Personal Data.

If a page on our Platform includes a social plugin, your browser may connect directly to third-party servers and transfer data (e.g. Like/Share buttons). We cannot control the extent of data that third parties collect via social plugins. If you do not want third parties to collect data via our Platform, consider logging off from that service before accessing our Platform or install browser add-ons to block social plugins.

Access to information

You have the right to request Personal Data about you held by Abi-Tech. To access, update or remove information, contact the email address in Section 12 below. Access requests may be subject to a fee.

In exceptional circumstances we may deny access and will explain the reason(s), including where compliance is prevented by an investigating authority, where information affects life/security of an individual, or where data is collected in connection with investigations of breaches, fraud or contraventions of law.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We may vary or amend this Privacy Policy by posting the amended version on this Site. Continued use of the Platform after amendment constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with changes, you may cease using the Platform or close your account.

Minors

Abi-Tech cannot distinguish the age of persons accessing its websites. If a minor (as defined by applicable laws) has provided Personal Data without parental/guardian consent, the parent/guardian should contact Abi-Tech to remove the Personal Data and unsubscribe the minor.

Acknowledgement

If you fail to supply relevant information or withdraw consent, Abi-Tech may be unable to open or continue accounts, provide services/products, or allow access to the Platform. Abi-Tech will inform you of likely consequences of such withdrawal.

You warrant that where you or your representatives provide information about another person, you have obtained their consent for us to collect, use and disclose such information as described.
